Clayton da Silveira da Silva , called Clayton , (born October 23, 1995 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian football player . The right footer is used alternatively in the attacking midfield or as a striker.

Career

Clayton learned to play soccer in his father's soccer school. From here he went to the youth division of Figueirense FC in Florianópolis in 2007 . In 2012 he made the leap into the professional squad at the club. His first Série A game played in the championship in the course of the 34th game day on November 4, 2012. In the game against Flamengo Rio de Janeiro , Clyaton came on in the 78th minute for Rafael Coutinho . It was followed by another use on the next match day against Sport Recife . This was his last use of the season. At the end of the season Figueirense was bottom of the table and had to relegate to the B series .

For the 2013 season, the player had to return to the youth division. That year, his club managed to rise again as fourth in the Série B. Clayton returned to the professional squad at the beginning of the year and initially competed with this in the state championship of Santa Catarina . He contributed one goal in eight games to the club's title win. This was his first goal as a professional. After being substituted on for Dudu in the 83rd minute , he scored the 1: 2 goal in the 88th minute. In the 2014 championship , Clayton scored his first Série A goal on August 3, 2014. In the home game against Sport Recife he came in the 68th minute for Jean Carlos and scored in the 75th to 2-0 (3-0).

Clayton stayed with Figu until early 2016 . He is still playing with the club in the Primeira Liga do Brasil 2016 and the State Championship of Santa Catarina. While the competition was still ongoing, Clayton moved to Atlético Mineiro in Belo Horizonte on February 25, 2016 . With Atlético , the player appeared for the first time at international club level. He made his debut in the Copa Libertadores 2016 on April 27, 2016 against Racing Club (Avellaneda) . In the game he was substituted on in the 72nd minute for Jesús Dátolo . This was followed by three more appearances in the competition. He didn't score a goal. In the following championship season he came to 28 missions, in which he scored four hits.

In the 2017 season, Clayton was loaned to Corinthians São Paulo for a few months , but also played for Atlético temporarily in the Série A. In the following year he did not appear at Atlético and was loaned to EC Bahia for one year in August of that year .
