Cleopatra Borel

Cleopatra Borel (from 2005 to 2010 Borel-Brown; born March 10, 1979 in Plaisance, Mayaro-Rio Claro ) is a shot putter from Trinidad and Tobago .

At the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, she finished fourth. In 2003 she won silver at the Central American and Caribbean Athletics Championships and finished sixth at the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo .

At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, she was ninth.

In 2005 she won silver again at the Central American and Caribbean Championships and was eliminated from the qualification at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki . The following year she was seventh at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Moscow and won bronze at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and at the Central American and Caribbean Games . In 2007, a bronze medal at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro was followed by a preliminary round at the World Cup in Osaka .

In 2008 she was seventh at the World Indoor Championships in Valencia , won the Central American and Caribbean Championships and failed to qualify at the Olympic Games in Beijing .

In 2009 she won bronze at the Central American and Caribbean Championships, but again did not get past the first round at the World Cup in Berlin . The following year she won the Central America and Caribbean Games and won silver at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi . In 2011 she won the Central American and Caribbean Championships, came 13th at the World Cup in Daegu and won silver at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara .

At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, she did not get beyond the preliminary round.

In 2013 she defended her title at the Central American and Caribbean Championships and was eliminated from qualifying at the World Cup in Moscow .

In 2014 she won silver at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow , was fifth at the Athletics Continental Cup in Marrakech and defended her title at the Central American and Caribbean Games.

In 2015 she won the Pan-American Games in Toronto and was twelfth at the World Cup in Beijing .
