Coatesville is an American city in Pennsylvania in Chester County with a population of around 13,000. It is located about 40 miles west of Philadelphia .
The western branch of the Brandywine Creek flows through the village and joins the eastern branch about 25 km downstream from Coatesville and finally merges into the Delaware River .
In the 19th century, the place was called Pittsburgh of the East because of its steel production. a. Steel was supplied for the World Trade Center .
