The CODICO GmbH ( CO mponent D esign -I n CO mpany) is an Austrian distributor for electronic components with the seat in Perchtoldsdorf . The range includes products in the areas of active and passive components as well as connection technology . In addition to the company headquarters in Perchtoldsdorf, the company has 42 sales offices in eleven countries as well as product competence centers in Munich , Stockholm and Treviso . CODICO currently employs 191 people and achieved sales of 161 million euros in 2019 .

history

CODICO GmbH was founded in 1977 by Heinrich Hawlik and Ludwik Waktor in Vienna . They named CODICO after their business model: CO mponent DI stributing CO mpany . In 2004, Karin Krumpel, the daughter of the company founder Heinrich Hawlik, and her husband Sven Krumpel took over the family business, which is now in the second generation.

In the first few years after the company was founded, the target markets were primarily Austria and Eastern Europe . From 2002 the successive development of the German market began. At the beginning of 2015, CODICO took over parts of the Italian electronics company TDelektronics , in particular the semiconductor sector , in order to strengthen its presence in the Italian market. With the acquisition of the Scandinavian distribution company Broadband AB , CODICO expanded its presence in Northern Europe in 2015 .

The company has been certified on a regular basis since 1995. With its Sample Shop , newly launched in 2016, CODICO enables sample orders to be placed via an online portal.

CODICO is a member of the Fachverband der Bauelemente Distribution eV (FBDi eV), which has represented a large part of the electronic components distribution companies in Germany since 2003.
