Coisia is a town and commune Déléguée in the French community Thoirette-Coisia with 201 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Jura in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté .
The municipality of Coisia merged with Thoirette to form the new municipality of Thoirette-Coisia on January 1st, 2017 . It belonged to the arrondissement of Lons-le-Saunier and the canton of Moirans-en-Montagne .
geography
Coisia is located at the southwestern end and on the right side of the Lac de Coiselet reservoir , through which the Ain flows.
The neighboring communities were

- Condes in the northeast,

- Matafelon-Granges ( Département Ain ) in the southeast,
