The Communauté d'agglomération de l'Auxerrois (before 2017) is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It was founded on December 23, 1993 and last comprised 21 parishes. The administrative seat was in the city of Auxerre .

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2017, the association of municipalities was expanded to include eight municipalities from the former Communauté de communes du Pays Coulangeois and newly founded as Communauté d'agglomération de l'Auxerrois . Despite the same name, it is a start-up with a different legal personality.
