The Communauté de communes Porte du Jura is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Jura in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It was founded on December 19, 2016 and comprises 22 communities (as of January 1, 2019). The administrative headquarters are located in Cousance .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté de communes du Pays de Saint-Amour and
• Communauté de communes Sud-Revermont

with access to the municipality of La Balme-d'Épy from the Communauté de communes Petite Montagne . At the same time, several municipalities merged to form the Communes nouvelles Les Trois Châteaux and Val-Sonnette .

With effect from January 1, 2018, the municipality of La Balme-d'Épy was integrated into the Commune nouvelle Val d'Épy as another Commune déléguée .

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Beaufort and Orbagna became part of the Commune nouvelle Beaufort-Orbagna . At the same time, the commune of Saint-Jean-d'Étreux was integrated into the Commune nouvelle Les Trois Châteaux as another Commune déléguée . This reduced the number of member communities to 22.
