Les Trois-Chateaux is a French municipality with 774 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Jura in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the canton of Saint-Amour in the arrondissement of Lons-le-Saunier .
It was created with effect from April 1, 2016 as Commune nouvelle through the amalgamation of the previous municipalities of L'Aubépin , Chazelles and Nanc-lès-Saint-Amour , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Nanc-lès-Saint-Amour.
With effect from January 1, 2019, the commune of Saint-Jean-d'Étreux was incorporated and also has the status of a Commune déléguée.
On January 16, 2019, the spelling of the municipality name was changed from Les Trois Châteaux to Les Trois-Châteaux (spelling with a hyphen).

The community is located around 47 kilometers southwest of Lons-le-Saunier . Neighboring communities are Montagna-le-Reconduit in the north, Thoissia in the north-east, Val-d'Épy in the east and south-east, Coligny in the south, Domsure and Saint-Amour in the west and Balanod in the north-west.
