Concepción is the capital of the Chicligasta department in north-western Argentina . It is located in the south of the province of Tucumán at an altitude of 370 meters and has 49,782 inhabitants (2010, INDEC ); This makes it the largest city in the province outside the metropolitan area of San Miguel de Tucumán .
