The Conofeeder 200 , partly also referred to as the Army class due to the naming of the ships , is a multi-purpose cargo ship type.

history

The ship type was designed by Conoship International in Groningen . The ship type was developed for use as a container feeder ship . But it can also be used to transport other types of cargo.

A total of eight units of this type of ship were built. Initially, two ships were ordered. The order was repeatedly supplemented by additional ships. The first six units were built at the Tille Scheepsbouw shipyard in Kootstertille, the last two units were built at the Frisian Shipyard in Harlingen . All ships were built for the Dutch shipping company Armawa Shipping and Trading. Between 2003 and 2005 the ships were sold by Armawa Shipping & Trading.

description

The ships built by Tille Scheepsbouw are with one of Stork built Wärtsilä - diesel engine equipped type 6SW28, the ships built by Frisian Shipyard with a Wärtsilä diesel engine of the type 6R32. Two units are available for the power supply, each consisting of a Scania diesel engine (type: DS1169M) with 230 kW output and a Stamford generator (type: HCM-434C) with 238 kVA apparent output  . The emergency power generator consists of a Valmet diesel engine (type: 420DSG) with 80 kW power, which drives a Stamford generator (type: UCM224G) with 63 kVA apparent power. The cargo area is 61.88 m long, 10.80 m wide and 5.99 m high. It is box-shaped over almost its entire length, only tapering slightly in the front area. The ships are equipped with two bulkheads to divide the hold, which can be erected in six positions. The cargo space is closed with a hydraulically operated folding hatch made of eight panels, four of which can be opened to the front or to the rear. The tank top can be loaded with 12 t / m². A breakwater is located in front of the hold to protect deck cargo from overflowing water.

The container capacity of the ships is 205  TEU . There is space for 72 TEU in the room and 133 TEU on deck. In the room two layers on top of each other and up to five containers can be loaded next to each other, on deck up to three layers on top of each other and five containers next to each other. In addition to 20 and 40-foot containers, 30-foot containers can also be loaded in the room. The maximum weight per stack is 50 t for 20 and 30-foot containers and 60 t for 40-foot containers in the room and 30 t for 20-foot containers and 45 t for 40-foot containers on deck. There are 20 connections available for refrigerated containers.
