The Tille Trader 3300 is a coaster type of Dutch shipyard Tille Scheepsbouw in Kootstertille. Several units of this type of ship were built for European shipping companies at the beginning of the 21st century.
history
At the end of 1999, the Dutch shipping companies Naviga Shipping in Groningen and JR Shipping in Harlingen initially ordered two units of this type of ship . At the end of 2000, the British shipping company Scotline Marine ordered two units of the ship type with the option of two more ships. JR Shipping ordered another ship, which was equipped with a higher deckhouse than the previous structures to increase the number of containers to be loaded on deck .
description
The ships were built with partly different equipment. They are from a four-stroke - six-cylinder - diesel engine the manufacturer Wärtsilä (type: 6L26) with 1,950 kW power driven. The motor acts on a controllable pitch propeller via a reduction gear . The ships are equipped with a bow thruster driven by an electric motor with an output of 205 kW . A Stamford shaft generator with 300 kW power and a Stamford generator with 125 kVA apparent power driven by a Sisu- Valmet diesel engine (type: 612DSBG) with 134 kW power are available for the power supply on board . A Stamford generator with 80 kVA apparent power is used as an emergency generator, which is driven by a Sisu Valmet diesel engine (type: 420DSG) with 70 kW power. Some of the units built later used Cummins diesel engines to drive the generators.
The hold of the ships is 61.88 m long, 10.80 m wide and 7.93 m high. The height of the hatch coaming is 2.65 m. The cargo area is largely box-shaped, only in the front section tapering slightly. To subdivide the hold, the ships are equipped with two two-part bulkheads that can be erected in eight positions. The hold of the ships is closed with ten pontoon hatch covers. The hatch covers can be moved using a hatch cart. The tank top can be loaded with 15 t / m², the hatch cover with 1.6 t / m².
The container capacity of the ships is 126 TEU . In the hold, ten 20-foot containers can be loaded one behind the other in three layers one above the other and up to four containers next to each other, on deck six 20-foot containers can be loaded one behind the other in one layer and four containers next to each other. The containers on deck can only be loaded on the rear half of the hatch cover, taking into account the line of sight . There is space for a total of 102 TEU in the room and 24 TEU on deck. The maximum weight of the individual stacks in the room is 81 t for 20-foot containers and 92 t for 40-foot containers. The container capacity of the ship built as an Eclipse is 197 TEU. There is space for 99 TEU in the room and 98 TEU on deck.
The masts can be folded down to cross under bridges . The hulls of the ships are reinforced with ice ( ice class 1D). The hull is based on the design of the Conofeeder 200 .
In their original version, the ships are equipped with seven cabins. The crew is usually six people.
