Constantin Luger

Constantin Luger (born November 10, 1981 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian musician , presenter and musicologist . He mainly performs as a singer-songwriter , but is also active as a song interpreter in the field of classical music .

Life

Early years and education

From 1995 Luger initially worked as a guitarist in several school and teenage bands. At the same time he began to write his first songs. In the following years he worked as a studio musician on the guitar , where he took part in numerous CD recordings, as well as performing as a live musician with several formations. From 2003 he studied sound engineering at the Art University Graz and founded the recording studio Luger Music Productions with the associated record label. After several years as a producer of Austrian bands such as 3 Feet Smaller , No More Encore or The Gogets and as a mastering engineer for several international punk music samplers, he decided to concentrate exclusively on his work as a musician from 2007 onwards.

He graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts university studies in singing (concert field, class Karlheinz Hanser ) and in song and oratorio (Class David Lutz ) for an MA from. Since then he has also been active as a teacher.

Career

Luger works in Europe and the USA as a singer, presenter, MC and show host. He moderated events such as the "Inked Out New Jersey Tattoo Show", "The Biggest Tattoo Show On Earth" in Las Vegas and several European shows. In 2014 he worked on his solo album "Rather Dead Than Unremarkable".

With several appearances per year and the single "Laut für die Leisen", Luger was on stage from 2012 to 2014 together with musical singer Maya Hakvoort as the musical ambassador of the Harley-Davidson Charity Tour for children with muscle problems. As an opera and lieder singer, he was involved in several tours and concert tours in the field of classical music, especially during his student days, was a founding member of the Opera Academy of India, and sang in Austria as part of several productions, e.g. B. at the Salzburg Festival , at the Vienna State Opera or in the Vienna Musikverein .

In 2011 Luger applied for the Austrian casting show Die Große Chance and rose to the quarterfinals (season 1 / episode 5). In 2012, he dubbed the role of "Big Herd Animal" in the film Ice Age 4 - Fully Postponed.

Luger also works as an artistic advisor on various sound carrier productions and is the author of the specialist book entitled “Die Nebensonnen”, published in April 2015 by Akademikerverlag - an example of the musical and linguistic analysis of an art song based on song no. 23 from Schubert'sWinterreiseISBN 978 -3-639-83082-8 .
