Vegetative characteristics

Coprosma temetiuensis grows as a shrub that can reach heights of 4 to 6 meters. The bark of young twigs is hairy.

The constantly against arranged on the branches leaves are divided into a petiole and leaf blade. The petiole is 0.3 to 0.8 inches long. The simple, thin-leathery leaf blade is elliptical with a length of 5.1 to 9.1 centimeters and a width of 2.1 to 3.6 centimeters. The base of the spreading tapers in a wedge shape, the tip of the spreader is pointed to pointed and the edge of the spreading is entire. Both the top and bottom of the leaf are bare. Eight to nine secondary nerves branch off from each side of the leaf median nerve . Small, mostly somewhat elongated domatia can be found along the central leaf nerve . The interpetiolaren stipules resemble the true leaves, 0.15 to 0.3 centimeters long and are about grown to four fifths of its total length to each other. Both the upper and lower side of the stipules are bare and they have toothed and ciliate leaf margins. The blunt tip of the stipules has a conspicuous appendage.

Generative characteristics

The lateral zymöse inflorescences and contain three to seven individual flowers. The upper end of the inflorescences is formed by a three-flowered umbel . The lower branches of the inflorescence each have one or two flowers. The finely hairy flower stalks of the female flowers may be absent or up to 4 millimeters long.

The unisexual flowers are radial symmetry and five-fold with a double flower envelope . The five sepals are tubularly fused in the female flowers and the 0.25 to 0.3 millimeter long calyx is about 0.2 millimeters from the hairless calyx teeth. The five petals are fused together in a funnel shape and the corolla tube ends in five corolla lobes. In the female flowers, the corolla tube is around 0.3 millimeters and the corolla lobes between 2.2 and 2.5 millimeters long. The stylus becomes 5.5 to 7 millimeters long. Nothing is known about the male flowers.

The unripe stone fruits are sparsely hairy. Nothing is known about the ripe fruits or the seeds.
