Corinne Humphreys (born November 7, 1991 ) is a British athlete who has specialized in the sprint .

Career

Humphreys participated for the United Kingdom in the 2013 European Athletics U23 Championships at the Ratina Stadium in Tampere . There she starts together with Rachel Johncock . Annie Tagoe and Jodie Williams in the relay competition. The relay from the United Kingdom won the bronze medal behind the German team.

At the “Lee Vallay Open” she won the 200-meter run in a time of 24.03 seconds and was thus able to increase her personal best over the 200 meters. At the “Hérouville-St-Clair Meeting Elite” she was able to win the competition over the 100 meters in a time of 11.39 seconds and set a new personal best.

In 2017, Humphreys was nominated for the 2017 European Team Championship , which was held between June 23 and 25, 2017 in the Lille Métropole Stadium, and was allowed to start there in the 100-meter run. With a time of 11.53 seconds she was already third fastest in the run-up and in the final she ran in a time of 11.50 seconds behind Carolle Zahi from France and Gina Lückenkemper from Germany in third place. This secured the British team nine points.

Between August 19 and 30, Humphreys attended the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei . At the competitions in the Taipei Municipal Stadium , she finished fourth in the 100-meter run in a time of 11.49 seconds, at the same time as the Kazakh Viktorija Sjabkina . A year later she took part for England in the Commonwealth Games 2018 in the Australian Gold Coast . In the Carrara Stadium she started in the 100-meter run and qualified with 11.62 seconds for the semi-finals, where she was eliminated from the competition with a time of 11.66 seconds.
