Cornelia Meusburger (born May 3, 1972 in Bezau ) is a former Austrian ski racer . She was an all-rounder and started in all disciplines. In 1991 she became junior world champion in combination and from 1991 to 1995 she won five Austrian championship titles. In the European Cup you get three wins. Meusburger is married to the former ski racer Christian Greber .
biography
Meusburger achieved her first successes at the Austrian school championships in 1987, when she won the giant slalom and came second in both slalom and combined. In the winter of 1990/91, the then 18-year-old also attracted international attention. She won her first European Cup giant slalom at Yllästunturi and won the gold medal in combination and silver in the downhill at the 1991 Junior World Championships in Geilo . In addition, she became Austrian combined champion for the first time in 1991 . Within the next four years she won this title three more times and in 1992 she also became Austrian champion in giant slalom. Meusburger made her debut in the World Cup at the end of the 1991/92 season in Crans-Montana .
In winter 1992/93 Meusburger won her second European Cup giant slalom in Berchtesgaden . She took her first World Cup points on November 26th, 1993 with 17th place in the giant slalom in Santa Caterina . This result remained her best in the World Cup. In the further course of the season she was able to score twice, 22nd in the giant slalom in Cortina d'Ampezzo and 21st in the Super-G of Mammoth Mountain . In the European Cup she reached fourth place in the giant slalom ranking with two second places this winter.
In the 1994/95 season, Meusburger competed in 13 World Cup races, but only narrowly made it into the points twice. In the winter of 1995/96 she was used again in the European Cup, where she achieved third place in the overall classification with a victory in the giant slalom in Krompachy-Plejsy and two second places. In the World Cup, however, their performance did not improve. She came into the points only once, as 24th in the Super-G in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . Therefore, she ended her sporting career after the winter.
