Cosmin Flueraş (born December 12, 1985 in Bucharest ) is a former Romanian ice hockey player who spent most of his career at Steaua Bucharest in the Romanian ice hockey league. With the record champions from the capital, he was four times Romanian champion .

Career

Club

Cosmin Flueraş began his career as a hockey player in his hometown, where he played for Steaua Bucharest in the Romanian league for ten years and was also active in the multinational MOL league for a year . With the Romanian record champions, he won the Romanian national championship in 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006 . He was also a cup winner with the club in 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2009 . He spent the 2012/13 season at local rivals Sportul Studențesc before ending his career in 2013.

International

Flueraș already played in the junior division for Romania. He was active at the U18 World Championships in 2001 in Division III and in 2002 and 2003 in Division II and at the U20 World Championships in 2002 in Division III and 2003 , 2004 and 2005 in Division II.

He made his debut in the men's national team at the World Championships in Division I in 2005 , when the team had to relegate to Division II. In 2008 he took part in the competitions of Division II of the World Cup and was able to achieve promotion to Division I. He also played for Romania in qualifying for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin .
