Courtney Taylor Burness (born October 8, 1995 in La Jolla , California ) is an American actress .

life and career

Burness, born in La Jolla in 1995, began her acting career at the age of about two through her grandfather, who had acted as an actor himself in his childhood. After her family initially lived in Pennsylvania , Courtney Taylor Burness moved her family to New York City at a young age . Burness was represented by freelance agents. At the age of 7, her first engagements in film and television followed, with her first role in a well-known production in the thriller Without Any Way Out . Before that, however, she was already in various episodes of Blue's Clues from 2000 onwards , where she was featured in a total of nine episodes until 2004. Burness had another appearance in 2003 on an episode of the Late Show with David Letterman , before it actually had its breakthrough in 2005 and 2006 when it was used in numerous internationally known television series and films. In 2005 she was featured in one episode each of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Jimmy Kimmel Live! in front of the camera and also acted in the pilot film Deal , which did not end in a later series, but rather another production was discontinued after the pilot was created. Also in 2005 Burness was in the satire Thank You for Smoking , as well as in the psychological thriller Female, Single, Young ... 2 , a remake of the 1992 film . 2006 was a special year for Courtney Taylor Burness when she appeared in three different television series and five other films. During her guest roles in Cuts , Still Standing and the Gilmore Girls , she had minor appearances in the films Jesus, Mary and Joey and Blue's Biggest Stories . In addition to her engagement in the short film Billy Schulz , she played the younger version of Diane Arbus (played by Nicole Kidman ) in Fell - Eine Liebesgeschichte and had speaking roles in the western Seraphim Falls and in the video game Thrillville . In the years that followed, things became largely quiet about the young up-and-coming actress, who was only used in a few but internationally known productions. She had an important supporting role in The Premonition , where she played the fictional daughter couple of Sandra Bullock and Julian McMahon together with Shyann McClure . For this role, the young talent was nominated at the Young Artist Awards 2008 for a Young Artist Award in the category "Best Performance in a Feature Film - Supporting Young Actress", but had to admit defeat to Jasmine Jessica Anthony for her role in the film Room 1408 was nominated. She was also seen in the role of Tabitha in two different episodes of Always Again Jim (2007 and 2008). After appearing in the short film Protection , released in 2009 , she appeared in an episode of Melissa & Joey in 2011 and an episode of iCarly in 2012 .
