Cyberhouse
Cyberhouse , also known as Hanomag Tor 1 , in Hanover in the Linden-Süd district, was one of the best-known techno clubs in northern Germany. The club existed from 1993 to 1998 in the submarine hall on the former Hanomag site .
Surname
The Hanomag Gate 1 suffix is derived from the corresponding gate numbering. The cyberhouse was located in the so-called “submarine hall” (Hall 1). The hall, the supporting structure of which was originally intended as a submarine production hall in the north shipyard of the Kriegsmarine shipyard in Wilhelmshaven , hence referred to as the "submarine hall", was built in 1943. The Music Circus was located in the area of Gate 2. The same operator later opened the BPM Club at Gate 4, which was used as an after-hour club. The Rose Club later found its home in the premises of the BPM Club. The two main gates 1 and 2 of the hall are located on the opposite end faces, further gates on the long sides.
Hanomag
After Hanomag went bankrupt in the 1980s, the hall was used by Music Circus GmbH (Werner Schrage) for the Music Circus disco from the late 1980s . This was originally in a circus tent on the Schützenplatz in Hanover . There, however, it had to give way due to complaints from residents about noise pollution. The existing circus tents were simply set up in the hall and thus created a variable event space. The tents were connected by smaller tents or by open corridors delimited by fences. The infrastructure was bad. Often the power went out. The halls were heated by large mobile oil fan heaters located in overseas containers. Due to a lack of maintenance, the heaters were often defective, frozen in winter or sooty. The sanitary facilities were poorly or not at all cleaned.
Beginning

In the early 1990s, the first techno parties were held with moderate success . In 1993 the wave of techno spilled over to Hanover, so that at the end of the year, with the end of the World Games cinema building, the first big parties could take place in Gate 1 (previously in the Ernst Winter Hall). In 1994 and 1995 the parties became increasingly popular. In the course of the techno wave, the techno parties got bigger and bigger, so that in the course of the Reincarnation Parade in 1996 up to 15,000 techno enthusiasts danced in the submarine hall on the Hanomag site. Due to the drug problem and the increasing violence on the Hanomag site, minors were banned from entering the site from 1997 onwards and fines of 2,500 D-Marks were threatened for every minor staying there after midnight. In December 1998 the organizers were withdrawn from the city of Hanover before the last two planned parties (Christmas Mega Rave and Forcing). According to rumors, there was a drug laboratory in the cellar of the building. To date, it is unclear whether the underground labyrinth was used for drug production or storage.
