Detlef Bernd Blettenberg (born October 13, 1949 in Wirges ) is a German-speaking writer .

Blettenberg worked as a development worker overseas for more than two decades. He lived in Ecuador , Thailand , Nicaragua and Ghana and toured Latin America, Asia, Africa and Arabia. Blettenberg has lived and worked in Berlin since 1978, if not overseas . He has been working as a freelance writer since 1994.
