action

Hansi Sandgruber marries his childhood sweetheart Regina. On the occasion of his wedding, Hansi revealed to the guests that he wanted to open an inn at the wildlife park, just as his mother Irmi had always wanted. With this, Hansi incurs the anger of his father-in-law Gernot, who until then had run the only inn in the town. He fears a drop in sales. Meanwhile, Hansi's sister Kathl can hardly be contacted: she saw Father Sixtus again at the wedding. She had an affair with him in 1988. When 17-year-old Kathl became pregnant, Sixtus disappeared, and because his belongings were found by the river, it was suspected that he had drowned. Kathl's daughter Sonja is now 16 years old and doesn't know who her father is. Kathl meets Sixtus shortly afterwards and speaks to him. He admits that he wanted to kill himself at the time, but the current washed him ashore. Sixtus eventually went to Africa, where he was a missionary. Now he has returned to meet his daughter. While Hansi, Regina and the others are already planning the first guest house season, Kathl and Sonja retreat to the Hochalm for the summer, where Sixtus is also secretly staying.

When the inn opened, Hansi and his older brother Franz clashed again and Franz left in a rage. He goes to Hansi's archenemy Viktoria, who wants to make him deputy manager of her amusement park Mountain Castle . She hopes to play him off against Hansi. Viktoria also has the mayor in hand, as he gambled away a lot of money in the casino and therefore owes her a lot. She puts pressure on him about his debts. Alternatively, she would be happy if he could get her a piece of land with two valuable sources that belong to Hansis Grund. However, Hansi refuses to sell. Another attempt by Victoria concerns her own daughter: Selina has just returned from the USA and is starting as a waitress at the new Hansis inn. The young woman tries to seduce him. Although her advances fail several times, Regina becomes jealous over time and almost causes the couple to separate. In the end it turns out that Selina feels really lonely, especially since her mother treats her badly. When Selina tries to take her own life, Hansi saves her, and Regina can forgive her. Regina and Hansi make up again and Viktoria realizes that she has lost for the time being, but Kathl and Sonja have to say goodbye to Sixtus. When rumors surfaced in the village that the man believed dead was back, anger began to stir. Even Hansi wanted nothing more to do with Sixtus. The latter, in turn, realized that he was needed in Africa and left Kathl and his daughter, who at least finally knew who her father was.
