Dale Krentz (born December 19, 1961 in Steinbach , Manitoba ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who was active for the Detroit Red Wings in the National Hockey League and the Adler Mannheim and Starbulls Rosenheim in the German Ice Hockey League .

Career

The six-foot-tall striker began his career on the Michigan State University team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association before being signed by the Detroit Red Wings in 1985.

First, the left-handed shooter was used by the Adirondack Red Wings , a Detroit farm team in the American Hockey League , and Krentz made his first NHL appearances in the 1987/88 season . However, the Canadian never managed to assert himself in the highest North American professional league, so he moved to Europe in 1990. After a brief engagement with SC Bern in the Swiss National League A , the striker signed a contract with Mannheim's ERC from the ice hockey Bundesliga , for whose outsourced professional team, the "Adler Mannheim", he was on the ice after the DEL 1994 was founded. Dale Krentz ended his career after the 1995/96 season with league rivals Starbulls Rosenheim.
