Dalibor Čutura ( Serbian - Cyrillic Далибор Чутура ; born June 14, 1975 in Sombor , SR Serbia , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian handball player who is mostly used on the back center .
Career
The 1.90 m tall and 91 kg heavy right-handed player first played for the Yugoslav club RK Železničar Niš , with whom he won the cup in 1997 and was among the last 16 in the 1997/98 European Cup Winners' Cup . In 1998 he was signed by the Hungarian club Fotex Veszprém , with whom he won the double in 1999 and advanced to the quarter-finals of the 1998/99 EHF Champions League . He then moved to RK Lovćen Cetinje , with whom 2000 and 2001 celebrated the Yugoslav championship. With Cetinje he reached the quarter-finals in the EHF Cup 1999/2000 and in the Champions League 2000/01.
Čutura spent the next decade in the Spanish league ASOBAL . After brief stints with Pilotes Posada and BM Alcobendas , he played from 2004 with JD Arrate , with whom he reached the quarter-finals of the EHF Cup 2008/09 . In 2010 he moved to Ademar León and again reached the quarter-finals in the 2010/11 EHF Cup and the 2011/12 EHF Champions League , where he was sensationally defeated by the Füchsen Berlin despite a 34:23 home win . He has been playing for the Romanian top club HCM Constanța since 2012 . In 2013 and 2014 he won the championship and the cup there. In the EHF Europa Pokal 2013/14 he reached the Final Four , in which he finished fourth. Since 2015 he has been working as a team manager for the Serbian national team alongside his playing role .
With the Serbian national team Dalibor Čutura took part in the Olympic Games in 2012 and finished 9th. At the European Championships in 2012 in his own country, he won the silver medal. So far, he has played 15 international matches in which he scored 32 goals. (As of February 26, 2014)
Private
Dalibor Čutura's son died shortly before the 2012 Olympics after a playground accident at the age of 9. His younger brother Davor Čutura (* 1979) is also a national handball player.
