Damien Howson (born August 13, 1992 in Adelaide ) is an Australian cyclist who is active on the road and track .

Athletic career

In 2010 Damien Howson won the Trofeo San Rocco junior race in Italy . The following year, he was Australian champion in the team pursuit together with Rohan Dennis , Alexander Edmondson and Glenn O'Shea . At the Oceanic Road Championships in 2012 he won the individual time trial in the U23 age group. In 2013 he was able to repeat this success, also won the U23 road race, finished second in the road race of the elite and won the UCI Oceania Tour . He also won the title of U23 time trial champion at national level. In the same year Howson was U23 world champion in the individual time trial.

At the 2014 UCI Road World Championships in Ponferrada , Howson was runner-up in the team time trial with the Orica GreenEdge team. In 2017 he won the Herald Sun Tour and in 2020 the Czech Cycling Tour .
