life and career

Harris graduated from Columbia University . In 1998, while still a student, he got a job as a production assistant for the shooting of Woody Allen's film Celebrity - Schön. Rich. Famous. There he decided to get into the film industry. The following year he did an internship with Scott Rudin .

He borrowed $ 4,000 from family and friends to make his first short film, Dancing with Agnes . Bryan Singer then hired him to write the script for X-Men 2 . Since that film, Harris worked repeatedly with Michael Dougherty , whom he met at a party in New York City in 2000.

Shortly thereafter, Harris also received Sigourney Weaver's promise to star in Imaginary Heroes . In 2004 he made his debut as a director of a feature film with this film.

In 2006 Harris worked again with Dougherty and Singer on the superhero film Superman Returns . In May 2016, X-Men: Apocalypse started their next joint project in the cinemas.
