Rockwilder (real Dana Stinson ) is an American music producer in the genre of East Coast hip hop .

Career

Rockwilder began his career in the mid-1990s. First he produced a few songs on albums by various East Coast rappers, such as Redman , Erick Sermon and Busta Rhymes . In 1997 he was responsible for the background music for EPMD's single "Da Joint" , which reached number 94 on the Billboard Hot 100 . Then he was the producer of other East Coast hip-hop singles , some of which also found themselves on the lower places of the Billboard charts. Among them was the song named after him, "Da Rockwilder" by Method Man & Redman. In 2001 he left his traditional genre and produced the contemporary R&B song Lady Marmalade with Missy Elliott, which became a number 1 hit in numerous countries such as the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany and the USA. As a result, Rockwilder composed for other, mainly female, R&B artists such as Destiny's Child , Kelis and Janet Jackson . At the same time, he continued to work in the hip-hop field. From the mid-2000s, his productions became rare and chart successes failed to materialize.
