Daniel García Diego (born March 24, 1983 in Salamanca ) is a Spanish jazz musician ( piano , vocals, composition ), who mostly appears as Daniel García .

Live and act

García first went through classical piano training at the Conservatory of Castilla y León in his hometown, to which he owes above all a “brilliant playing technique”; then he studied with Joanne Brackeen and Danilo Pérez at the Berklee College of Music in Boston until 2011 , where he graduated with the award for best jazz interpretation. Pérez, who also became his mentor, was decisive for García's musical development. He subsequently performed at the Panama International Jazz Festival and played with musicians such as Arturo Sandoval , Greg Osby , Jorge Drexler , Javier Colina and Perico Sambeat . Then he founded his trio with the bassist Reinier Elizarde and the drummer Michael Olivera , with which he released three albums since 2015, in which musicians such as Jorge Pardo , Alain Pérez and Ariel Brínguez were also involved. The album Travesuras (2019) received very good reviews; In addition to flamenco jazz , pieces by Federico Mompou are also interpreted there. He is also part of Antonio Lizana's sextet .
