Daniel Gitau

Daniel Gitau (born October 1, 1987 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner .

In 2006 he came to Japan , where he matriculated at Nihon University and led its Ekiden team to several successes.

In 2009 he finished second in the Kagawa Marugame Half Marathon in 1:01:34 h on his debut . In May he managed the feat of achieving a quadruple triumph over 800 m , 1500 m , 5000 m and 10,000 m at the University Championship of Kanto . In autumn, like last year, he was Japanese university champion over 5000 and 10,000 m.

In 2010 he won the Kagawa Marugame Half Marathon in 1:01:08.
