Daniel Grünauer (* 1982 in Weiden in the Upper Palatinate ) is a German dramaturge , director and author.

Life and work

Daniel Grünauer completed his A-levels at the Kepler-Gymnasium Weiden in 2002 . He then studied theater studies and history at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich as well as German and political science at the Julius Maximilians University in Würzburg , supplemented by a one-year study of the performing arts at the Université de Caen Basse-Normandie . This was followed by an internship at the Mainfrankentheater in Würzburg . During his studies he was responsible for founding the UniTheater studi (o) stage in Würzburg and was active as a director and dramaturge at the Leuchtenberg Castle Festival . Daniel Grünauer completed his studies in 2010 with the title of Magister Artium.

He has been directing since 2005. Co-founder of the Landestheater Oberpfalz in September 2010, where he was director, dramaturge and head of public relations from 2010 to 2012. In September 2010, the musical Xanadu, staged by Daniel Grünauer, celebrated its German and European premiere . This is followed in February 2013 at the Landestheater Oberpfalz the world premiere of the stage adaptation by Paradiso based on Thomas Klupp. From 2012 to 2017 he was employed as head dramaturge at the Ulm Theater and head of communication. From 2017 to 2019 he worked at the Konstanz Theater , most recently as chief dramaturge. In the late night talk show initiated by him and co-host Daniel Morgenroth, gifted! Daniel Grünauer performed from January 2018 to November 2019 under the artist name Daniel G. Lindengrün.

Daniel Grünauer coordinated the 7th Swiss Theatertreffen 2020 in Chur / Liechtenstein until he was canceled. Since January 2020 he has been part of the three-person management team at RathausOper Konstanz. From September 2020 he will be engaged as a dramaturge at the Schauspielhaus Graz .

Daniel Grünauer has been a member of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party since 2010 . On May 26, 2019 he was elected to the district council of the district of Constance . For the Greens parliamentary group, he sits on the culture and school committee, on the board of trustees “Kunststiftung Landkreis Konstanz” and the structural commission for integration aid.
