Daniel Salvenmoser (born August 2, 1988 in Kitzbühel ) is an Austrian biathlete .

Daniel Salvenmoser lives in Walchsee and serves as a temporary sports soldier in the Austrian Armed Forces . Since 2003 he has been a member of the national squads of Austria. He starts for LLC Walchsee and is trained by Reinhard Gösweiner . He first took part in the Junior World Championships in Biathlon in Presque Isle in 2006 and was 34th of the individual, ninth in the sprint and twelfth in the pursuit. With Sven Grossegger and Dominik Landertinger he also won relay silver behind Russia. Since the 2006/07 season, the Austrian has also participated in competitions in the European Junior Cup and in 2008 he won a pursuit race in Osrblie . The next major event was the 2007 Junior World Championships in Martell . It became his most successful international junior championships. The worst result was a sixth place in the individual, in the sprint he was fourth and missed a bronze medal by less than seven seconds behind Florian Graf . In the pursuit race, Salvenmoser deteriorated by one place and finished fifth. He won the relay race with Benjamin Riedlsperger and Landertinger. The 2008 results in Ruhpolding were not quite as outstanding . The Austrian came 27th in the individual, 28th in the sprint, 19th in the pursuit and missed another relay medal with Mario Drescher , Grossegger and Landertinger in fourth place. Only a little later he took part for the only time in junior races of the Biathlon European Championships . The results here were far better than at the Junior World Championships. Salvenmoser was third in the individual, only had to admit defeat to Anton Schipulin in the sprint and also won the relay silver with the relay team in the World Cup. Only as sixth in the pursuit did he miss a medal. For the fourth and final time he took part in the Junior World Championships in Canmore and ran into sixth place in the singles and 37th in the pursuit.

In the 2008/09 season , Salvenmoser started his first races as part of the IBU Cup in Obertilliach and won first points as 23rd of the individual and 19th of the sprint. Shortly afterwards he reached the top ten for the first time as tenth in a sprint in Martell. At the start of the 2009/10 season he was seventh in a sprint in Idre ; it is so far his best placement in the second highest international racing series in biathlon. The first major event in the performance area was the 2010 European Biathlon Championships in Otepää . Salvenmoser was used in the individual and sprint and finished 57th and 63rd. At the Austrian Championships 2010 he won the silver medal in the relay race in Hochfilzen with Alexander Nuss and Friedrich Pinter representing Tyrol. A year later , the season won the gold medal in the same line-up.
