Chi Hang Daniel "Danny" Tang (* 1992 in Hong Kong ) is a professional Chinese poker player from Hong Kong.

Poker career

Tang emigrated to the United Kingdom in his youth , but has now returned to Hong Kong. He has been participating in renowned live tournaments since 2013 .

Tang took second place at a deep stack event in Nottingham at the beginning of June 2015 and received prize money equivalent to just under 50,000 US dollars . In May 2016 he also finished second in the main event of the partypoker WPT National and secured more than 130,000 US dollars. A month later, Tang was the first time in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and came in five tournaments of the variant No-Limit Hold'em in the money. At the end of October 2017, he took third place at a high roller event of the Asia Championship of Poker in Macau , worth around 130,000 US dollars. In mid-December 2017, Tang won the High Roller of the PokerStars Championship in Prague and secured prize money of 381,000 euros thanks to a deal with runner-up Sergio Aido . Tang made the money four times at the 2018 WSOP , receiving by far his highest cash prize of around $ 230,000 for 31st place in the main event . In mid-December 2018, he finished fourth in the High Roller of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Prague for just under 200,000 euros. In May 2019 Tang finished second at the main event of the Triton Super High Roller Series in Budva, Montenegro, after losing heads-up to Bryn Kenney and received his highest prize money to date of around 1.8 million US dollars. At the 2019 WSOP , Tang won the US $ 50,000 Final Fifty and secured a bracelet and a prize of more than US $ 1.6 million. At the end of August 2019 he finished third at the EPT Super High Roller in Barcelona and received almost 850,000 euros.

In total, Tang has earned more than 8.5 million US dollars with poker in live tournaments, making him the most successful poker player from Hong Kong .
