Daniela Krammer (born December 28, 1968 in Wels ) is an Austrian musician , saxophonist , singer , composer and band leader . She is also known by her stage name SaxoLady . Her music styles are mainly jazz , pop , funk and soul .

Live and act

After attending the HAK II in Wels, Daniela Krammer completed her studies in classical saxophone at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna , which she completed in 1995 and supplemented with an additional degree in popular saxophone in 1997. In 2004 she founded the jazz formation “Saxophone Affairs” together with her husband Oliver Krammer and is the female frontman on the saxophone in this group . In addition to Krammer, Roland Guggenbichler (piano), Heribert Kohlich (piano), Hans Zinkl (guitar), Karl Sayer (double bass), Bernhard Osanna (double bass and electric bass), Andreas Tieber (electric bass) and Oliver Krammer (drums ) in this jazz formation.

Krammer has so far played in classical ensembles such as the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Klangforum Wien , and also with jazz greats such as Ines Reiger and Albert Kreuzer or pop musicians such as Stella Jones , Andy Baum and the formation Monti Beton .

In addition to her work as the front woman of “Saxophone Affairs” , Daniela Krammer also works with the actress Petra Dinhof as “Duo Wort & Ton” . Dinhof reads short stories and poems, from dramatic literature to stories in Viennese dialect , as a one-person theater play , Daniela Krammer frames and accompanies the respective program with coordinated music with her saxophone.

Krammer got started with the composition through her examination of texts by Ingeborg Bachmann , which was documented in the publication of a CD with the band "Encounters" . Daniela Krammer sets her own poems to music with the “KämmerchenOrchester” , which she also founded , a trio with changing instrumentation.

Daniela Krammer has two sons and lives in Vienna-Hietzing.
