Danijar Üssönow (born March 9, 1960 in Frunze, today Bishkek ) is a Kyrgyz politician and was Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan from October 2009 to April 2010 .

Danijar Üssönow studied engineering and law . In the early 1990s he worked in the administration of the Tschüi region . From 1993 to 1994 he was director of a British-Kyrgyz investment company.

Üssönow began his political career in 1995. In that year he became a member and vice-president of the Kyrgyz parliament . At the same time he was chairman of the parliamentary committee for tax, customs and banking. From 2000 to 2005 he worked in the private sector. From 2005 to 2007 he was Deputy Prime Minister. In October 2007 he was appointed mayor of the capital Bishkek by presidential decree. From January 2009 until his nomination as Prime Minister on October 21, 2009 he was head of the Kyrgyz presidential administration.

  1. On April 7, 2010, the Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev was overthrown by the opposition, and his acting successor was the former Foreign Minister Rosa Otunbajewa , who, as chairman of the transitional government, also held the de facto post of prime minister.
