Dawu ( Ta'u ) ( Tibetan : རྟའུ ་. , Wylie transliteration : rta'u ; Chinese  道孚县 , pinyin Dawu ) is a circle of the administrative territory of the Autonomous District Garzê of Tibetans in the northwestern Chinese province of Sichuan belongs. Its main town is the large community of Xianshui (Xiǎnshuǐ 鲜 水镇 ).

The Gelugpa monastery Nyatsho Gompa (Tib. ཉ་ མཚོ་ དགོན nya mtsho dgon ; Chin. Lingque si灵 雀 寺 / 靈 雀 寺) is located in Dawu .

Administrative structure

At the community level, the circle consists of two large communities and twenty communities . These are (pinyin / chin.):

  • Greater community Xianshui鲜水镇
  • Greater community Bamei八美镇
