Daz Dillinger (born May 25, 1973 in Long Beach , California ; real name Delmar Arnaud ) is an American rapper and music producer . He is also known by the pseudonym Dat Nigga Daz .

biography

He was one of Death Row Records ' key artists in the 1990s and one of the protagonists of West Coast hip hop , G-funk, and gangsta rap .

Along with Kurupt , Nate Dogg, and Snoop Dogg , who is Daz's cousin, he was one of the Long Beach, Los Angeles artists who gave producer Dr. Dre while he was working on his album The Chronic . These artists can therefore also be heard with guest contributions on the album. Snoop Dogg's album Doggystyle finally made Daz Dillinger known. Also 2Pac recognized his talent and made him part of his album All Eyez on Me produce. Dr. Dre then signed him for Snoop Dogg's album Tha Doggfather .

Together with Kurupt he forms the group Tha Dogg Pound , which has had some successful releases. Daz now owns his own independent label, DPG Recordz . He is also a solo artist on the So So Def Recordings label by Jermaine Dupri .

In August 2013, Dillinger had the law firm Kushner Carlson send a cease and desist declaration to Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive. The rapper calls for the sale of the open-world game Grand Theft Auto V to be stopped because the royalties for the songs C-Walk and Nothin 'But The Cavil used in the game seemed too low. His 16th studio album entitled Dazamataz was released on February 16, 2018 . It contains a total of 30 songs.
