David Gordon Green (born April 9, 1975 in Little Rock , Arkansas ) is an American film director , producer and screenwriter .

Life

David Gordon Green was born in Little Rock in 1975, but spent most of his childhood and youth in Richardson , Texas. After graduating from high school, he studied film directing at the North Carolina School of the Arts . After a few short films, he released his first feature film in 2000 with George Washington .

His comedy Prince Avalanche , a remake of the Icelandic film Á annan veg (2011) by Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurðsson , entered the competition at the 63rd Berlinale in 2013 and won the Silver Bear for best director . In 2018, Green shot Halloween, a sequel to Halloween - The Night of Horror .

Green lives in New Orleans .
