David Gropman

David Lloyd Gropman (born June 16, 1952 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American production designer who was twice nominated for an Oscar .

life and career

Gropman's first engagement in film was in the comedy Come Back, Jimmy Dean by Robert Altman . In 1999 he was responsible as a decorator for God's work and the devil's contribution and together with Beth A. Rubino received a nomination for the best production design at the 2000 Academy Awards . For his work on the production design for Life of Pi: Shipwreck with Tiger , he received an Oscar nomination in the same category with Anna Pinnock at the 85th Academy Awards in 2013 .
