action

Grimm Chipovsky, disguised as a clown, attacks a New York bank in which his girlfriend Phyllis and his friend Loomis are already disguised as supposed customers. You can escape the police surrounding the bank by having Chip , as he calls himself in the phone calls with the police, employing the police with grotesque demands for various escape vehicles and, in return, releasing three hostages who are in reality the robbers themselves. While the coup succeeds perfectly, the second part of the plan, the drive from Brooklyn to JFK Airport in Queens , from which Grimm has reserved flights to Fiji , completely fails. Due to a road construction project, the directional traffic sign was excavated; When they ask a driver for the way, they are robbed of their travel belongings without the latter discovering the millions hidden on their bodies. While they are changing their escape clothing in Phyllis' apartment due to the robbed clothing, their vehicle parked at a hydrant is removed by the fire department, rolls down the street and suffers a total write-off.

They happily survive further breakdowns when taking a taxi or a regular bus and get on the plane on time. Shortly before the start, the chasing police appear, but they are blocked by another criminal who believes they are after him. Grimm helps overwhelm him. Police chief Rotzinger, who was already leading the negotiations during the bank robbery, wants to officially thank Grimm and notes his name and address. Only after the plane takes off does he realize that Chip and Chipovsky are the same person.

Reviews

"Except for the opening and closing gag, not very original comedy; routinely, but uninspired staged and also disappointing acting. "

"Bill Murray's directorial debut is based on a French comedy: As" The Boss "(1985), Jean-Paul Belmondo struggled with similar urban illusions. Conclusion: a crazy genius chaos - wonderful! "
