David Slivnik (born June 27, 1987 in Jesenice , SR Slovenia ) is a Slovenian - Austrian ice hockey defender . Since 2013 he has been playing in the Inter-National League for EHC Lustenau .

Career

David Slivnik switched from his home club HK Jesenice to EC VSV at the age of 15 . There he first played in the U20 team until, at the age of 17, he made the leap into the professional team of the Austrian ice hockey league during the 2004/05 season . In the following season he and his team became Austrian champions for the first time in his career . In the following years, the defender came regularly for the EC VSV before he returned to his home club HK Jesenice for the 2009/10 season . For this he played parallel in the Austrian ice hockey league and the Slohokej league . At the end of the season he and his team took part in the Slovenian Ice Hockey League and immediately won the Slovenian championship title with Jesenice .

For the 2010/11 season he moved to EC Dornbirn in the National League , the second Austrian division. For this he scored 6 goals and 20 assists in 41 games during his first season there.

International

For Slovenia Slivnik took part in the U18 Junior B World Championship in 2005 and the U20 Junior B World Championship in 2006 and 2007 .
