Days of Our Lives ( English for "days of our life") is the second music album by the German R&B band Bro'Sis . The record reached number ten on the German Media Control album charts.

background

On April 7, 2003, the double A single Oh No / Never Stop was released as a harbinger of the album . The video of Never Stop was shot as the official song for the DFB talent development in the Bayer Arena in Leverkusen. The national players Gerald Asamoah , Paul Freier , Marko Rehmer , Tobias Rau and Arne Friedrich were there , who cheer in the video together with a young talent who is currently converting a penalty. The video shoot for Oh No , which was filmed in Mallorca in Spain due to its Latin influences, followed immediately the next day . The choreography for Oh No comes from Hamza, who had previously fought for a place in the band Bro'Sis as a candidate for pop stars . Hila Bronstein and Indira shot the individual shots at a pool, Ross Antony in an office building and Faiz Mangat, Shaham Joyce and Giovanni Zarrella in the Ses Salines salt works . Despite airplay successes, the single was unable to make a noticeable place in the charts in either Austria or Switzerland, but gave the band their fifth top 10 hit in Germany.

On May 9, 2003, five days before the release of the second album, the departure of Indira became known. Officially, she left the band due to musical differences. The band preferred to do R&B pop, Indira preferred mainstream pop. Later, unreliability and egoism were also given as reasons for leaving. There was a vote in which three members wanted Indira to leave the band, two were against.

Days of Our Lives was released on May 13, 2003 on Cheyenne Records. It was mainly produced by Toni Cottura , with producers including Alex Christensen , Marc Mozart and Syndicate Music. Musically it stays true to the style of the debut album Never Forget (Where You Come From) , but could not build on its successes. In Germany the album entered the charts at number 10, but it fell off the charts again after just six weeks. In Austria and Switzerland the album missed the top 30.

The album contains many ballads and pop songs. There are also rock elements. There is less R&B and hip hop compared to the debut album. Self-written songs are also missing from the album. It contains, among other things, the song Get me some which was also recorded by the Australian boy band Mercury 4, who landed there with the song at number 5 in the charts. Zarrella contributed Italian verses to the song Attentione for the first time.

In June 2003, the first production without Indira was the second and last single, VIP. For this, five of the song was sung in a new version. The video was shot in an old mansion in Prague. As with Oh No, the director was Katja Kuhl. Tovaris, the US choreographer of Janet Jackson , was responsible for the choreography . The single rose to number 19 in the German charts.

live

After the release, the band started a lightning tour in which they presented the songs of the second album in four cities in smaller halls. The rehearsals took place a week earlier in Walldorf near Frankfurt. Here the band had to rehearse the new songs and the choreographies had to be changed to five people at short notice due to the departure of Indira. Hila Bronstein took over the vocals from Indira. During the one hour show she was accompanied by a live band. The concerts took place in the Prime Club in Cologne, in the Elserhalle in Munich, in the Grünspan in Hamburg and in the Columbia Fritz in Berlin.
