Dead Emotions is a death metal band from Freising near Munich .

history

Dead Emotions was formed in 1996 as a dark / death metal band and quickly gained a good reputation in the local scene. 1999 was with Gates to the Unseen released the first in-house production which good reviews in magazines like Rock Hard , Legacy or Ablaze received.

After Gates to the Unseen was even demo of the month of September 2000 in Metal Hammer , first contacts with record companies followed. After the first edition of the album was sold out, the band signed a contract with Medusa Productions in September 2001 , whose worldwide advertising and sales activities for the second edition brought about an enormous increase in awareness of Dead Emotions. On the second album The Genesis Behind , also self-produced and released in 2003 , the band showed themselves to be more technically adept and much harder than on their debut album.

In autumn 2003, after the expansion of the sales network by signing a contract with MDD Records, as well as the Thrash-To-Death-Tour 2004 together with Debauchery and Scornage, the level of awareness of Dead Emotions increased significantly both in the German and international metal underground thanks not least to the numerous concerts with bands such as Obituary , Dew-Scented , Haggard , Mystic Circle , Belphegor , Disbelief, Graveworm , Tristania , Destruction , Skinless or Suidakra .

In the fall of 2005 , the band released another self-produced demo called There Is No Dawn .

In August 2007 Dead Emotions recorded their third studio album Pathways to Catharsis , which was released in January 2008 via Bad Land Rec./Twilight Vertrieb. Reviews of this CD in online magazines and the Encyclopaedia Metallum were exceptionally positive. This was followed by a small tour with Fear My Thoughts and a number of club and festival appearances.

With There Is No Dawn the band presented their first music video.

Dead Emotions have so far been seen at a number of festivals, including the Metal Invasion Festival, Walpurgis Metal Days, Down in Flames Festival, Bavarian Summer Battle and the Winterbreath Festival.

In autumn 2009 guitarist Uis left the band. AleX joined the band as a new member in November 2009.

After singer Mosh left Dead Emotions in January 2010, the decision was made to break up the band at its peak. On April 9, 2010 the band gave their official farewell show in their hometown of Freising.

In January 2011 Hell-mut, AleX and Uis founded the band Arsirius together with Sebastian (Shapeshift) and Christoph (vocals on the Dead Emotions album The Genesis Behind ).
