history
Today's Demmel AG was founded in 1928 by Sebastian Demmel - who had been producing door signs since 1907 - and his investor Eugen Holderried sen. founded as S. Demmel OHG in Munich . Produced signs of brass . In 1934 Holderried's brother-in-law Fritz Leicher took over Luppe + Heilbronner OHG, S. Demmel OHG's greatest competitor. In 1942, during the Second World War , the factory in Birkenleiten was destroyed and production was relocated to Pförring . After the war, the destroyed factory was rebuilt and the company was renamed Bayerische Metallschilderfabrik of the Demmel and Holderried families. In 1954 the company took over the two metal factories in Munich and Schüttentobel, which were about to go bankrupt, and a furniture factory in Scheidegg from Fritz Leicher and continued them under the name Metallätzwerk Scheidegg E. Leicher GmbH & Co. In the following years the Munich company lost its customers, so it was decided to relocate production completely to Scheidegg. In 1982 the company moved into the new factory building in Scheidegg. The name was changed to Demmel Schilderfabrik GmbH & Co. In 1989 Dyna Systems GmbH was founded, which dealt with the production of keyboards and control elements. The merger of Demmel AG with Dyna Systems GmbH was completed in 2011.

The company history of Rawe Electronic GmbH begins in 1971 in Weiler im Allgäu with the production of measuring devices . In 1978 the new building took place and the move to the current production building. With the start of production of the chess computer in 1982 , Rawe's success increased. In 1991 the production of computer mainboards took place . In 2009 Rawe took over the Swiss Tefag Elektronik AG.

Over time, the company developed into an important automotive supplier. In 2014, Wafa filed for bankruptcy. In 2016 the company was incorporated into the Demmel Group.

Today's DMCC ( Demmel Metal Components China ) was founded in 1997 as Nanjing Excellent. In 2001 it was taken over by Berlin-based Matino AG. It has been part of Demmel AG since 2008 and the name has been changed to DMCC. The DMCC is primarily concerned with the manufacture of metal components that are used within the Demmel Group.

The LBT ( Laser Marking Technology ) was founded in 1986 by the Demmel Schilderfabrik GmbH & Co in Munich and focuses on the laser inscription of moldings , signs and front panels.
