Lin Tzu-chin came with 246 kg (110-136) in a duel on the 4th place and did not come close to their performance from the Asian Games.

In 2015 Deng Wie became world champion in the weight class up to 63 kg in Houston. She achieved 259 kg in a duel. With her individual performances of 113 kg in snatch and 146 kg in jerk, she also won the world title.

In 2017, no Chinese athletes could start at the World Championships in Anaheim because the Chinese Weightlifting Association was excluded from this championship by the International Weightlifting Association due to various doping offenses by Chinese lifters in recent years.

After the suspension for the Chinese Weightlifting Association expired, Deng Wei started again at the World Championships in Ashgabat in 2018. She achieved 252 kg (112-140) in the new weight class up to 64 kg body weight in a duel and became world champion in duels, snatching and pushing.
