Denis Curzi

Denis Curzi (born May 14, 1975 in Dernbach ) is an Italian marathon runner .

Life

In 1998 he won the Maratona del Lamone on his debut over the 42.195 km distance . In 1999 he was third in the South Tyrol Marathon and fourth in the Cesano Boscone Marathon. The following year he was eighth in the Garda Half Marathon and came in at the Half Marathon World Championships in Veracruz on 53rd place. In 2001 he finished 13th in the Venice Marathon .

In 2002 he was sixth at Roma - Ostia , seventh at the Rome marathon and finished in 73rd place at the Half Marathon World Championships in Brussels . In 2003 he finished second in the Florence Marathon . A fourth place in the Treviso Marathon in 2004 was followed by a victory in the following year. He achieved a time of 2:11:37 h on the course, which was not suitable for the best list because of its gradient. In autumn he finished seventh in Venice. In 2006 he was fourth in Treviso, in 2007 tenth in Rome and fourth in Florence.

In 2008 he achieved his second victory in Treviso. At the Maratona d'Italia he finished ninth. After the disqualification of Alberico Di Cecco, he moved up one place and was awarded his national championship title.

In 2009 he came 52nd at the Half Marathon World Championships in Birmingham and came second at the Reggio Emilia Marathon . At the marathon of the European Athletics Championships 2010 in Barcelona, ​​he did not reach the goal. In 2011 he finished fifth at the Maratona di Sant'Antonio .

Denis Curzi is 1.72 m tall and weighs 54 kg. He starts for the Carabinieri .
