action
Marc is a successful lawyer at work and with women. His numerous affairs lead to the end of his eight-year marriage with Jeanne. Marc suffers from the breakup, which he tries to forget with his friends and further affairs. Professionally, things could go on in a special direction for him; his former fellow student Didi has become Minister of Justice in Rwanda and would like to hire him as a legal advisor for at least a year. Marc initially refuses to work in Africa with his boss Ravignac. Meanwhile, Jeanne finds a new lover in the much older Antoine and Marc accepts the relationship.
Shortly afterwards, Ravignac asks him to pick up a friend from the airport and keep her company throughout the day, since she would travel to Paris that evening. The young lady initially refuses to get company from Marc, who is very clumsy. After apologizing, they both speak out over dinner. It turns out that Samantha is a call girl. Marc pays her for one night, but cannot find a free hotel all day. In the evening he says goodbye to her at the airport, but leaves her the check that was already made out that morning. She calls him later and they both meet and sleep together. Although both feel that their relationship goes beyond that of a prostitute with a suitor, Samantha refuses to live with Marc. He's going back home alone. Marc now decides to accept the position in Rwanda. Shortly afterwards, Samantha makes it clear to Marc that she loves him, and they both move into Marc's former apartment. Jeanne and Antoine also arrive here from a trip. Both couples live together in the apartment, go on trips together and become close friends. Marc, in turn, decides against Rwanda.
One day Samantha, who has not worked as a prostitute since her relationship with Marc, receives a call from her former suitor Carl. She meets with him and makes it clear to him that she is not interested in a relationship with him. Friends of Marc see both of them talking in front of a hotel and suspect that Samantha is secretly back to work. You tell Marc about it, who is disappointed. When he makes it clear to Samantha that he believes she will never be able to change, she indignantly undresses. Antoine and Jeanne only now find out that Samantha is a former prostitute, but like Marc's grandmother, they see the very likeable person Samantha above all and regret the separation of the two. Marc celebrates his 30th birthday. He suffers from the separation from Samantha and finds consolation with Jeanne, who gives him a present. In the end, they both sleep together. Antoine, who finds her sleeping tightly in his arms, pulls his consistency and moves out of the apartment. Jeanne is devastated. Although she gets back together with Marc, she ends up leaving him when he starts having affairs with other women again. Marc doesn't look for her because he knows that Antoine is really the right person for Jeanne. He goes to see him. He has now chosen Rwanda again and will be leaving in a few days. Antoine, in turn, admits that the best time for him was when the two couples lived in harmony with one another in the apartment. He wants everything to be the same as it was then. He matches Samantha and asks her to give Marc another chance. He also tells her that he would like to find Jeanne again. It turns out that Jeanne was staying with Samantha the whole time. Marc checks in at the airport when suddenly Samantha appears. He spontaneously drops his travel plans and rushes to her. When they hug and kiss, Antoine and Jeanne join them and Marc laughs in surprise.
