The desert diamond is a crime film in the German film series Harry Higgs . It was created in 1917 under the direction of Rudolf Meinert with Hans Mierendorff in the leading role of the detective.
action
A duke dismisses his private secretary Pattison. The latter then steals a compromising letter from the Duchess in order to blackmail his grace. The high born then hires Harry Higgs to stop the villain. In fact, the private detective succeeds in stealing the letter from Pattison with a daring trick.
Production notes
The desert diamond passed the censorship in February 1918 and was premiered in Berlin's Tauentzienpalast that same month . The film ran in Austria-Hungary on June 6, 1918 and was around 1,600 meters long.
