action
New York City : Banker Simon Hughes' valet, John Rool, is a cunning con man and crook. First he forged a check and then withdrew and took £ 25,000 . But that's not all: he also wants to catch the daughter of his wealthy boss, Mabel Hughes, right away. In order to be able to devote himself to other rip-offs, Rool feigns drunkenness on duty in order to be released, and as a result assumes false identities such as those of a professor and a count. Before he can wreak havoc on Mabel with a marriage, Harry Higgs takes on this case and exposes Rool for who he is: a swindler and criminal.
