A continuation of the series is not planned. Henning Baum (playing the “last cop”) said in an interview that the information was wrongly given and a continuation of the series is not impossible.

Season 5

In contrast to the previous seasons, this one consists of eight episodes, which are designed as coherent, consecutive episodes. The first seven episodes were broadcast by the pay TV broadcaster Sat.1 emotions from April 24 to May 29, 2014. The season was broadcast on Sat.1 from April 28 to June 2, 2014, with episode eight being the first to be broadcast there was seen.

57	5	What have I done	Mick's memories of New Year's Eve 2001/2002 are slowly coming back. All he knows is that he was involved in it in some way, even though he was actually in the hospital at the time. He visits the staff from back then. But nobody knows exactly what was then. There is nothing precise in the hospital book. It just says that a substitute doctor was in the hospital that night. Through research, he learns that it was Meisner. 58	6th	To paradise	Mick is suspected of having shot a Bundesbank official. He fled to Monaco to get answers from his father about New Year's Eve 2001/2002. 60	8th	The future	The secret is revealed: Mick's colleague Koller, who was believed dead, only faked his accident and cleared up those who knew it. Mick can take the blackmailed 20 million from him, but Koller takes the pregnant Astrid hostage for it. Mick can only with difficulty free Astrid and defeat Koller, who accidentally shoots his wife Vera beforehand, in a fight man against man and fatally injures him with his own knife. The senior investigator Bremme, who wanted to pin the murders on Mick, is urged to resign, with Andreas Kringge as the designated successor. After Mick had burned a wad of money, the rest of the people involved decide to split up the remaining money and keep quiet. Mick wants to take on the role of father for Astrid's child.
