Joachim Friedmann (born October 8, 1966 in Sapporo ) is a German comic , screenplay and computer game author.

Life

As the son of a German editor at the University of Sapporo, Joachim Friedmann grew up in Hokkaidō until 1971 and then in Marburg . At the beginning he studied art history , English and Japanese studies , from 1989 to 1995 he studied cultural studies in Hildesheim . In 1989 he founded a concert agency.

As a comic author, Friedmann published the story on page 756 with the illustrator Henk Wyniger , which received a prize at the Erlangen Comic Salon . This was followed by a contract for Friedmann and Wyniger at Carlsen Verlag with their own comic series about the heroes Lais and Ben. The author and draftsman took themselves as models for the figures. The two-volume adventure was followed by the comic adaptation of the two-channel crime thriller Murderous Decision - in collaboration with Oliver Hirschbiegel . In addition, Joachim Friedmann was the author of five Donald Duck comics between 1997 and 2003 , as well as numerous translations of Duck comics for Disney . Friedmann is currently the only German writer for Disney comics.

After Friedmann wrote a two-volume comic about the Lindenstrasse series for Carlsen , he worked as a comic writer for the series' website. In 1997, after a test script, he joined the writing team for the television series. Joachim Friedmann wrote 52 episodes for the cult series by 2002. He married Sybille Waury , one of the leading actresses ( Tanja Schildknecht ) in the series.

Joachim Friedmann has been working as a scriptwriter for the series For all cases Stefanie , Die Camper , Nicht von der Welt , Klinik am Alex and Hinter Gittern since Lindenstrasse .

In 2010/2011, he wrote scripts for the series In all Friendship , The Last Bull and Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten . Since 2015 he has been working as a story editor for the ARD series In all friendship - The young doctors .

He also wrote the dubbing books for the Japanese anime series Lupine III and in 2004 received the " Sat.1 Talent Award" for the best sitcom concept. Joachim Friedmann continues to work for various broadcasters as a series developer and consultant.

Friedmann has also been the author of computer and online games since 2011. For Microsoft Germany he developed the educational game “Die Schlaumäuse”, which was awarded the “Digita”, the German educational media prize, in 2013.

In addition to his work as an author , Joachim Friedmann works as a lecturer and trainer. He teaches dramaturgy and creative writing, u. a. at the University of Hildesheim, at the Babelsberg Film School in Potsdam and at the Institute for Drama, Film and TV Professions in Berlin . In 2017 he was appointed professor for serial storytelling at the International Film School Cologne . Friedmann also works as a coach and consultant for business. Since 2012 he has been leading seminars and workshops on the topics of creativity training, communication skills and strategic business communication through storytelling .
