German national basketball team (U-16 juniors)

The German basketball team of the U16 juniors is the German selection of male youth up to the age of 16 in basketball . This competes in international championships for the German Basketball Association and is trained by the former men's national player Harald Stein , who initially looked after this team as an assistant since 2008 . Currently his assistant is Marvin Willoughby , also a former international. Most recently, at the U16 European Championship in 2012 in the Baltic States, they caught up with the European leaders with a fifth place. The best placement at international championships was third place and winning the bronze medal at the European Cadet Championships in Greece in 1981 and in Tübingen and Ludwigsburg in 1983 .
