The 2014/15 season was the 15th season of the German Sledge Ice Hockey League . The season started on October 19, 2014 and ended on March 17, 2015. The Weserstars Bremen won the championship for the first time in their club's history.

Attendees

Two fewer teams took part in the game compared to the previous year: the sledge ice hockey department of the Cologne EK was dissolved after a dispute with the executive committee of the KEK about a sponsor. Its players, some of them Dutch national players, moved to Dresden, Kamen, Wiehl or to Dutch clubs. The Bremen / Adendorf syndicate broke up, instead the Weserstars Bremen took part alone. The Heidelberg Ice Knights no longer took part in the game. Due to the cooperation between Cardinals Dresden and ECC Preussen Berlin , these teams also formed a syndicate.

mode

The four participating teams initially played the season in the league system . Each team played a total of six times and thus twice against each other team. This was followed by a final tournament for all four teams to win the German championship in the knockout system .

There were three points for a win. In the event of a tie, a penalty shoot-out followed . The winner of the penalty shootout received two points and the losing team received one point.
